Living in Killarney Heights

Killarney Heights is a bit of a hidden gem, and that’s just the way the locals like it. Still relatively unknown in the wider Sydney community, the area was first developed during the 1950’s.

Only 20 minutes by car to the CBD, there are regular bus services provided by Forest Coachlines, to provide handy transport into Chatswood and the City.

Enjoying extensive views over Middle Harbour, Killarney Heights is host to a number of bush walks through Garigal National Park. These walks are suitable for people of all fitness levels.  Our personal favourite is the one that takes you from the bottom of Killarney Drive, down to Flat Rock Beach.

If you like a cheeky shortcut when out walking, Killarney Heights is home to quite a few.

You know you’ve gained true local status when you have explored them all and are familiar with where each one leads. 

Killarney Heights hosts its own shopping precinct featuring restaurants, speciality stores, a green grocer and professional office suites. There is a playground situated in the middle of the centre which is particularly suitable for young children. This is a popular spot for local parents and children to gather in the hours immediately after school.
